DJB Graphic Design is well-versed in branding, creating consistency and flexibility in all your materials from web to print and other media essentials.
I am very versatile. If you see a style of a site you like online, show me. I can work with your ideas to give you what you want, or advise you about what style would suite your product or business to get the word across to your clients and potential clients. I’ll show you what your designed site or printed piece will look like at many stages of the development, to make sure it will suit your needs.
I’ll make your site a great tour of what you sell — presenting your business to visitors and welcoming them, showing them around and introducing them to points of interest they should definitely see before they leave. As tour guide, your website has the task of providing visitors with the right guidance to direct them to where they want to go — and to where you want them to go as well. I will help you present your information and content in the best way. I make sites easy to navigate, easy to find what you’re looking for, clean and uncluttered.
All of the sites and materials that you see here were completely designed & developed by me (unless otherwise noted). And the owner of the Santa Cruz Parent site had me do many ads for their site & online newsletter, as well as interface widgets and related print elements.

Over the 20 – 25+ years experience I have had in graphic design for print and web, there has been a great deal evolution of technology and the evolution of my skills along with changing times, so that the growth of my skills, accumulation of knowledge and my evolution as a designer has been magnified & coupled with the changing software, trends, and technology. I continue to learn new ways all the time, yet keep my hand in the traditions of my fine-art background and those that have always made great design. I’ve worked in web design and development through its evolution from stagnant sites and Flash animation of the late 90s, through many changes in styles and technology to responsive sites that we create now. It used to be that people wanted their websites to look just like their printed materials, and now such a huge difference exists and there is much more flexibility. As I’ve said in other places on this site, my skills have evolved with the changing times, and I look forward to learning and moving along with these changes.
I’m also quite accomplished in creating graphics and pages for social media and other digital applications, such as digital signage and ads.

More than 20 years experience … Creating effective, eyecatching ads, and other materials produced for local newspapers and in company resource booklets, pamphlets, and on cards. Print advertising, brochures and magazine layouts are still materials that people trust and look to every day to get the word across to the public for businesses of all sizes. A recent survey by the team at AdBlock Plus actually found that many people — around 95% of consumers don’t trust digital advertising at all. Only 33% put their faith in TV ads. People block online ads using software that hides the ads in their web experience. Consumers still trust reading tangible printed materials so much much more, making the need for physical branding continually viable!

Visual art is something I have always been involved with, as far back as I can remember. I always loved to draw, especially from life. I was also interested in photorealism, or hyper-realism. A few years ago when I found out about techniques to create very realistic images “from scratch” digitally, it was a huge inspiration, and became one of my favorite things to do.
Photo montage — A combination of various photo elements, synergistically combined into one image. Fantasy, advertising, setting stages — so many purposes & possibilities are endless. Placing objects in a different background …no problem! Did you ever want to put yourself in a master portrait, have your portrait look like a painting or see your face with a famous star? Almost anything you can think of …my clients have said I can work magic!
Have an old photo that is damaged, torn, or needs new life? Or a black & white you’d like colored? I have a great deal of experience doing things like this!
